Surgical Blade Sharpness Tester is a special testing equipment for testing the sharpness of surgical blade. It is designed and manufactured according to the relevant provisions of yy0174-2005 standard. It can display the force value and the maximum cutting force required by the surgical blade to cut the standard suture in real time.

Test principle

Fix the sample on the fixture, fix one end of the suture on a wire winding clamp, add a 100g weight to the other end of the suture to make the suture horizontal and fixed on the other clamp; the sample moves vertically downward at the speed of no more than 10mm / s to cut the middle part of the suture line; when the suture is cut, the display result of the instrument is the force value of the blade cutting the suture.
